At this time, all CMA Summer Camps are tentative amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Updated schedules and registration will be available once decisions are made regarding summer camps and programs on the TLU campus.
Strings Camp 2020

About Strings Camp
Strings Camp is a fun-filled musical week led by TLU's SMA Director Shareen Vader, faculty, and student assistants. With something for everyone, daily offerings will include learning new pieces in a small-group or orchestra setting, improvisation, rhythm and note reading instruction, music vocabulary and history, performances for students by camp faculty, crafts, games, and a final student performance for parents!
Students may bring lunch to eat between camps. There will be a supervised eating and activity area during the lunch hour.
When: July 13-17, 2020, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Where: TLU Schuech Fine Arts Building
The registration deadline is June 28 to be eligible for sibling discounts and Lindenbaum scholarships. Registration will still be available until July 5 at full price.
Camp attire: Wear comfortable, casual clothing. Concert attire for Friday performance (All black or black bottoms with white tops).
Concert: Friday, July 17 at 11 a.m. at Ayers Recital Hall, TLU Schuech Fine Arts Building. Please invite friends and family!

Eligibility & Tuition
Eligibility
Students entering grades 1-6 in Spring. Experienced violin, viola, and cello students or beginners with no previous experience are all welcome. Students entering 6th grade with at least one year of experience and all middle-school and high-school students are welcome to attend TLU’s Summer Music Academy.
Tuition
$100 for first family member, $75 for additional siblings. Lindenbaum Outreach Strings Class students and graduates pay only $50 - no sibling discount.

Instrument Rental
$20 for the 5 days of camp. Must be pre-ordered. Pick up and return will take place at the beginning and end of camp. Renter is liable for any damage.
If the student already has a CMA instrument for Summer Private Lessons, rental fee is waived.
Vocal Art Camps 2020

About Vocal Arts Camp
All young singers are invited to join us for a week of singing, friendship and fun led by CMA Director Shareen Vader, and TLU student assistants.
Activities will include learning proper vocal technique, performance etiquette, and solfeggio (do, re, mi, etc.) in small groups, and preparing group choral literature together for the final performance.
This year’s camp will also focus more on and music-reading skills, including improvising and writing rhythms and melodies. And of course, musical crafts and games.
Students may bring lunch to eat between camps. There will be a supervised eating and activity area during the lunch hour.
When: July 13-July 17, 2020, Monday-Friday, 1:30 - 5 p.m.
Where: TLU's Schuech Fine Arts Building
