Administrative Assistant for Campus Living, Career Development, Center for Servant Leadership, and Campus Ministry

Texas Lutheran University is seeking applicants for an Administrative Assistant for Campus Living, Career Development, Center for Servant Leadership, and Campus Ministry. This full-time position provides the Director of Campus Living with clerical support and assists in the coordination of the various programs within the four offices listed above with primary focus given to Campus Living.

Position requirements include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Prefer associate degree in a technical or administrative program.
  • Three years of experience in an office setting
  • Knowledge of procedures and practices in a specialty or technical field of advanced skill such as computer programming, electronic technology, or office administration
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in English grammar
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong computer skills to include word processing and spreadsheet applications
  • Standard clerical skills
  • Considerable judgment is required 
  • Ability to supervise student workers
  • Ability to make decisions guided by precedent and university policies
  • Ability to work in a team environment 
  • Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Understanding of and appreciation for a church-related university
  • Bilingual proficiency in written/verbal a plus (English/Spanish).
