Texas Lutheran University invites applications for the position of Director for Graduate Admissions & Degree Completion Programs. This leadership position is responsible for the strategic recruitment, enrollment, and growth of TLU's graduate and adult undergraduate degree completion programs.

The Director will provide vision, leadership, and operational oversight for all aspects of graduate and degree completion enrollment, from prospect generation through enrollment. This individual will play a critical role in expanding TLU's presence in the marketplace, building strategic partnerships, and supporting the development of new academic programs that meet the needs of today's learners and workforce.

Key Responsibilities

The Director for Graduate Admission & Degree Completion Programs will:

  • Develop and implement a multi-year strategic enrollment plan for graduate and degree completion programs that support institutional growth and enrollment objectives.
  • Lead and oversee all recruitment activities for graduate and adult undergraduate students, including virtual, on-campus, and off-campus engagement opportunities.
  • Achieve annual enrollment goals and key performance indicators established by university leadership.
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate, community, and educational partners in collaboration with the Office of Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships.
  • Represent Texas Lutheran University at recruitment events, conferences, partnership meetings, and professional associations.
  • Manage the admissions process from inquiry through enrollment, including applicant outreach, credential evaluation, admissions counseling, and interviews.
  • Utilize market research, enrollment data, and industry trends to optimize recruitment strategies, identify new student markets, and inform future program development.
  • Collaborate with the Office of Marketing and Communications to develop and execute marketing strategies that communicate program value, career outcomes, and TLU's distinct advantages in the marketplace.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate graduate and degree completion admissions staff while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and student-centered service.
  • Plan and execute recruitment events and outreach initiatives that attract prospective students and increase awareness of TLU's academic offerings.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between admissions, faculty, and program directors to align recruitment strategies with program goals and enrollment targets.
  • Prepare enrollment reports, market analyses, recruitment forecasts, and key performance updates for senior leadership.
  • Contribute to the research, development, and implementation of new academic programs and enrollment processes that support institutional priorities.
  • Coordinate special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Six(6) years or more of experience in college enrollment management, including supervisory experience. 
  • Strong understanding of current admissions trends and strategies. 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and meet enrollment goals. 
  • Experience with CRM systems; familiarity with Technolutions Slate preferred. 
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. 

Working Conditions

  • Primarily office-based with a standard indoor work environment. 
  • Regular evening and weekend responsibilities. 
  • Overnight travel required.
