On-Campus Employment is available to all students at TLU. Students may apply for the jobs of their choice, keeping in mind their skills, interests and class load. Working on campus allows a student to begin building a resume while attending classes. Employment earnings may be used to cover the costs of tuition, room and board, or books and personal expenses.
Federal Work Study (FWS) is based on need and is funded by federal and university dollars. FWS may be a part of the financial aid award package at TLU. Typically, an average FWS award is $2,200, which means a student can work about 10 hours a week earning minimum wage ($7.25/hour - effective 7/24/09). Off-campus community service opportunities are also available.
Texas College Work Study (TCWS) is similar to the Federal Work Study program, with the exception that funds may only be awarded to residents of the state of Texas.

You must file the FAFSA each year in order to receive a financial aid package from Texas Lutheran University. Certain aid is limited, and is awarded until funds are depleted. In order to ensure your consideration for such aid, you should file your FAFSA as soon as possible.
To have your FAFSA information sent directly to TLU, enter Federal School Code 003641.
You will need your tax return as well as your parents' tax information to complete the FAFSA.
If this is your first time filing the FAFSA, you must apply for a PIN number. If you have filed before, but have forgotten your PIN, you can retrieve it here.
Parents of dependent students must apply for a PIN as well in order to complete their portion of the FAFSA.
