To broaden cultural studies across campus, TLU offers a minor in women's studies for students wishing to explore concepts of gender and its changing role in society.

All majors have the opportunity to participate in the women's studies program and explore ways in which the social construct of gender has affected their particular discipline, both historically and in a contemporary context.

Students pursuing a minor in women's studies may choose to integrate these topics into their existing research and academic activities.

Minor in Women's and Gender Studies

The Women’s and Gender Studies minor is designed to introduce students to the study of gender as a social construct. The minor provides an opportunity for focusing study in many disciplines around the general topic of women’s and/or gender issues through the scope of the student’s particular fields of interest.
