Susan Rinn, Vice President, Marketing and Communications

Before stepping into her current position, she served TLU in numerous different roles, including Director of Marketing and Special Events, Assistant Vice President for University Relations, Assistant Vice President for Strategic Planning and Administration, and Executive Assistant to the President. Susan is a fan of all things TLU – from athletic events to cultural events.

 Jonathan Zitelman, University Events

Jonathan Zitelman serves as the Director of University Events, which includes a myriad of event-related duties, from planning and executing cultural events to facility management and rentals, summer programs, and church relations. Jonathan is the “go to” person on campus for all things technical, pyrotechnic, and anything else we can’t figure out.

In his spare time, he serves as a volunteer firefighter for the city of New Berlin, a licensed pyrotechnician, a stagehand for professional theatre, a rancher, and a husband and father to two.

Karina Garner, Project Manager

A proud non-traditional and first-generation student, Karina is currently pursuing her undergrad with a double major in Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Communications and a minor in Public Relations. Her passion lies in helping others, and she strives to inspire those around her to see the best version of themselves. Outside of studies, full-time job, and volunteering with community organizations you can find her spending time with her husband and two young adult sons (21 and 19). When not at her desk or on campus, she’s likely out fishing with her boys at the coast, enjoying summer sunshine, catching live music, cheering on a sports team and most likely with a cup of coffee in her hand.

With a background in sales and real estate management, she brings a diverse skill set to work, always looking for new ways to innovate, connect, and make a difference. Her heart is dedicated to creating positive change, both in her professional life and the community.
