What Are My On-Campus Dining Options?
Hein Dining Hall
Hein Dining Hall offers fresh fruit and salads, home-style entrées, freshly baked pizza and pasta, deli choices on freshly baked breads, new creations by our executive chef, ice cream and freshly baked desserts, and homemade soups.
Lucky's in the Alumni Student Center
Lucky’s features the WOW Café or World of Wings American Café and Wingery, a successful and popular brand developed in New Orleans. Menu items include their famous wings as well as wraps, over-sized chopped salads, Angus burgers, quesadillas, chicken tenders, and red beans and rice. Lucky’s also features a SubConnection that offers subs made with high-quality meats, garden fresh produce, and fresh breads. For students on the run, Simply to Go items are always available and include sandwiches, salads, fruit cups, yogurt cups, microwaveable meals, milkshakes, smoothies, protein shakes, meal replacement shakes and breakfast tacos.
Tschoepe Hall Cafe
Tschoepe Café in Tschoepe Hall is a convenient stop for morning coffee or an afternoon frappuccino. You can also get a Tazo tea or grab a fresh scone, muffin, or cookie. Simply to Go items are also available at the Tschoepe Café.

TLU’s meal plans have been designed with flexibility and convenience in mind. Students living in a residence hall can choose from Meal Plan A, B, or C. Students living in an apartment (equipped with a kitchen) may select any meal plan or may choose to purchase only Bulldog Bucks.

Meal plan A, B come with $150 Dining Dollars per semester. Meal plan C comes with $250 Dining Dollars per semester. Meal plan D comes with $450 Dining Dollars per semester. Dining Dollars can be used in Hein Dining Hall or Lucky's Kennel. Note: Students residing in the residence halls must select among Meal Plans A, B, and C. Students residing in the apartments may select among Meal Plans A, B, C, and D, or may select no meal plan. The student may change the selected meal plan without penalty during the first week of classes each semester.
No changes may be made to meal plans after the drop/add date.
All meal plan changes must be made through the Meal Plan Change form. The Meal Plan Change form is located on MyTLU under the Residence Life forms tab. Notices submitted to offices other than the Residence Life Office will not be recognized and/or honored.
Through a partnership with our food provider, Sodexo, TLU offers the Swipe Out Hunger program on campus. Students with meal plans A, B, or C were given 5 bonus swipes for the semester. These students can donate the bonus swipes for other TLU students who might be experiencing food insecurity to use during the semester.
- Students wanting to donate meals should contact the cashier in Hein Dining Hall.
- Students wanting a donated meal should contact the Dean of Students Office for a certificate to use in Hein Dining Hall.
To access meal plan balances:
- Login to MyTLU
- Click on your picture and "My Profile & Settings"
- Click "View Bulldog Bucks Balance," to see your balance for Dining Dollars, Bulldog Bucks, Bonus Bucks, what meal plan you have, and how many swipes you have left for the week if you have B or C. If you have plan D the meals left are for the semester.
- Meal plans A, B and C reset before 7 a.m. on Sunday morning (meals go from Saturday brunch to Friday dinner).
