Disability Awareness Month
About 13% of people in the U.S. report experiencing disability, including 11% of people between the ages of 21-64. Disability is a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities. This month, we’ll enjoy the gray space between difference and disability, honor activists who worked for disability rights and inclusion, celebrate the limitlessness of the human spirit, and encourage disability pride as a way to embrace one another as whole and complex people.
