Students are encouraged to join one of the groups below to make life lasting friendships and memories that you'll cherish forever. Whether you're looking for volunteer opportunities or win an E-sports tournament, there's an organization for you!
Greek Life

Beta Alpha Sigma
Beta Alpha Sigma, the oldest sorority on campus, began when five girls on a road trip wanted to reinforce and strengthen their friendship and transform it into a bond as strong as sisterhood. Upon the formation of the Beta Alpha Sigma Sorority, TLC was a junior college, and was, therefore, only two years in duration. Each year, the five sophomore Betas selected five freshmen to continue the traditions of sisterhood. 90 years later, Beta Alpha Sigma has over 700 alumni. Even though nine decades have passed, we continue to uphold the standards of sisterhood set by the founding members

Council for Fraternity and Sorority Life
The purpose of Greek Council is to act as the official governing and coordinating body for all Greek organizations.

Delta Alpha Delta
The purpose of this sorority shall be to provide entertaining social activities for members, friends, and alumnae, sustain memberships through rushing/pledging procedures, develop close sisterly bonds among members, develop relationships among members that can provide emotional support through the college experience, provide opportunities to develop leadership and effective group dynamics, develop social, moral, intellectual, and service responsibilities amongst members, provide an inclusive space to all students and to support medical research and treatment through Texas Children’s Hospital.

Kappa Pi Gamma
Established in 1948, Kappa Pi Gamma is a sisterhood that cherishes all its members with a strong bond of sisterly, Christian love. We pride ourselves on the diversity of our members, their individual achievements, as well as our group achievements. We are involved in many programs, sports and clubs here at TLU. We also find time from our busy academic schedules to enjoy social activities and events. We volunteer at the local animal shelter, SAS. No matter what we do, the Gammas remember that it's our faith, friendship, loyalty, love and kindness that makes us a strong and bonded sisterhood.

Omega Tau
Six men founded the Omega Tau Fraternity at Texas Lutheran University on October 20, 1958. Omega Tau is the oldest fraternity on campus and has remained active since it's founding. Omega Tau has a great history of relationships with its alumni as well as faculty and staff at TLU and offers an endowed scholarship thanks to generous alumni support. Omegas participate in Greek Games, TLU intramural sports, and community activities. We pride ourselves and hold each member up to four standards: brotherhood, scholarship, social prestige, and philanthropy.

Sigma Phi Theta
The Sigma Phi Theta fraternity was chartered on February 3, 1984, on the principle that no one individual should be denied the chance to share the brotherhood of fraternity. The Sigma Phi Theta fraternity is primarily concerned with the individuality of each person and their academic achievement while attending Texas Lutheran University.

Xi Tau
Xi Tau was founded in 1987 at Texas Lutheran University when four women joined to create a community that would foster sisterhood, loyalty, and individuality. Today, these values still stand, and Xi Tau members look forward to a tradition of lifelong friendship. Our tradition is something to remember and was also made to express the fantastic beauty as well as the rewarding challenge of sisterhood. We strive to empower all women (not just our own) to be their best and to constantly seek personal growth. The strong women of Xi Tau always rise to this challenge and are forever encouraged by the love and support of their sisters
Honor Societies

Beta Beta Beta (Tri Beta)
The Purpose of Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society shall be to function as an honor and professional society for students of the biological sciences. Its activities shall be designed to stimulate interest, scholarly attainment, and investigation in biological sciences, and to promote the dissemination of information and new interpretations among students of life sciences.

National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS)
The NSLS is the largest leadership honor society in the United States. Our NSLS chapter at Texas Lutheran University was stated in 2016. Our local chapter is part of the national organization with 700+ chapters and over 1.4 million members.

Pi Rho
Pi Rho is a chemistry club that is open to all students interested in this fundamental science. Our main focus is to enhance students’ interest in chemistry by holding weekly chemistry seminars. In addition, we help spark student's interests in potential chemistry career paths including industry, the medical fields, and environmental science. Pi Rho also works to support student research and attendance at major conferences such as the American Chemical Society conferences. Also, as a member of Pi Rho, you gain leadership skills by actively participating in the many events hosted throughout the year. In addition, Pi Rho will be sharing the excitement of science and getting involved with the community by hosting chemistry demonstrations at multiple elementary schools in the greater Seguin/New Braunfels area.

Psi Chi
Psi Chi is the International Honor Society in Psychology. Membership is open to graduate and undergraduate students who are making the study of psychology one of their major interests and who meet the minimum qualifications. Psi Chi is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS) and is an affiliate of the American Psychological Society (APS). Psi Chi serves two major goals – the first is to provide academic recognition to its inductees by membership and the second is the obligation to nurture that accomplishment by offering a climate that nourishes and stimulates professional growth through programs designed to enhance the regular curriculum and to provide practical experience and fellowship to its members.

Society of Physics Students (SPS)
The Society of Physics Students (SPS) is a professional association explicitly designed for students. Membership, through collegiate chapters, is open to anyone interested in physics. The only requirement for membership is an interest in physics. SPS members include majors in chemistry, computer science, engineering, geology, mathematics, medicine, and other fields.

Black and Gold President's Council
Starting in 2012, the prestigious Black & Gold President’s Council (BGPC) is a group of students selected to represent TLU at various events and occasions both on and off campus. Focusing on networking skills and social leadership, BGPC members are
official student representatives of the university. The Black and Gold President’s Council is dedicated to encouraging life-long ties with the university through Presidential, Development, Alumni and Philanthropic events. Additionally, BGPC members serve as a bridge between the student body and the president’s office by bringing up relevant issues to the President at our monthly meetings. The Council seeks to enlist the very best students to represent the university and enables those selected with valuable skills and experience. BGPC Members seek to promote community service, campus unity, and academic excellence; all values that help make TLU unparalleled. -
Creating Involved Individuals and Communities (C.I.V.I.C Club)
This organization was created to provide career development and general community for students interested in careers in the humanities and social sciences.

EnAct is a campus organization devoted to raising awareness about environmental issues. Some of our activities will include engaging in the student body to understand the importance of sustainable practices through fun and engaging events

Healing Outreach for Protection and Education (HOPE)
HOPE provides education and healing to lessen the harmful effects of pornography on one's sexual, mental, and spiritual health as well as its societal effects in promoting sexual exploitation and objectification.

MOVE Texas
MOVE Texas at TLU aims to increase civic engagement at Texas Lutheran University through voter registration, mobilization, and education. Ultimately, the methods we apply to achieve those goals revolve around the use of education to curb political apathy and curtail low voter turnout that is symptomatic of this indifference and inaction. We emphasize voter education and local action as the two most vital things in creating quality citizens, who will then take a fervent role in changing and improving the society around them with this mindset. Members will make devoted effort to participate in events sponsored by MOVE Texas at TLU or its affiliates to further this goal.

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)
National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is a nonprofit organization first created in 1979. It is now one of the nation’s largest mental health organizations. NAMI’s main role is to advocate for people who struggle with mental health and offers assistance to families in need. The goal of NAMI on Campus at TLU is to create a more inclusive space for mental health. We strive to make educational events about mental health to promote self-care, and to build awareness/reduce the stigma on mental illnesses.

Student Government Association (SGA)
Subject only to the statutory regulations of the TLU Board of Regents and the TLU President, the SGA represents undergraduate students in voicing their concerns, promoting student interests, managing student fees and properties, and advocating for student social, academic, and spiritual life at Texas Lutheran University.

TLU Women's Association
The objectives of this organization shall be for students that are interested in the welfare of women in this community. This organization will strive to promote mental health awareness, education around domestic abuse and sexual harassment, physical health, and wellbeing, and provide a safe space for women in need/crisis. This organization was founded to provide women on this campus with a sense of community and provide a space where they will not be judged, and have their voices heard by fellow community members. Water to Thrive
Water to Thrive at Texas Lutheran University promotes servant leadership by raising awareness and funds to serve people of rural Ethiopia, Tanzania, and Uganda who do not have access to clean water. The funds we raise go directly to the efforts of building water wells so that underserved communities in these regions can better their day-to-day lives. Every $6,000 raised builds a well that can serve 500 people for up to 20 years. Our chapter has funded over 10 wells since it was founded in 2011. Association of Computing Machinery (ACM)
The Texas Lutheran University ACM Student Chapter was established to promote an increased knowledge of and greater interest in the science, design, development, construction, languages, management and applications of modern computing; a greater interest in computing and its applications; and a means of communication between people having an interest in computing.

Athletic Training Club
The TLU Athletic Training Club is an organization designed to assist students with an interest in athletic training or sports medicine by networking at local and national conferences, promoting the profession and becoming young professionals in the field. We are actively involved with the TLU campus through service to the school and promoting school spirit.

Kinesiology Club
The Kinesiology Club at TLU supports students interested in kinesiology, health sciences, and related fields. We promote fitness and wellness through campus events, volunteer opportunities, and community outreach. Members also attend the annual ACSM conference in Waco to network and learn from professionals. The club is a great way to gain experience, build connections, and grow in the field.

Mathematical Association (The Math Club)
One of the main goals of Math Club is to spread the general understanding and appreciation of mathematics through puzzles! Math Club is for everybody who is willing to participate and have fun! This club is open for all to join and can be very beneficial to a student's academic career at Texas Lutheran University. Some events include conferences, game nights, movie nights, holiday specials, and many more.

Pre-Health Professions (PHP) Club
PHP Club looks to provide information and experience to students who are seeking careers in the health professions while aiding the community. The purposes of this club shall be to promote entry into the medical and allied health professions, invite guest speakers from the various health professions to the TLU campus, communicate and assist students with obtaining summer internships and volunteer work in the community and surrounding communities, and organize local tours and participate in activities that will expose students to the various fields in the medical profession.

Psychology Club
We are an open organization, accepting members from all Majors and Minors across TLU. If you think Psychology is interesting, just join and see how you like it! We want to host some cool psychology events. We need to hear from our members as to what these events should be. Psych club members have been active in PSY-esta, SWPA, and Student Academic Symposium.

Student Education Association (SEA)
SEA (Student Education Association) is the club to join if you love teaching and are seeking guidance, experience, and knowledge with others that have a passion to teach or to work with the youth. You will have the opportunity to talk and learn about what it takes to become that exceptional teacher in today's schools, as well as meet other TLU students with the same professional goal. This club is open to all students within the Texas Lutheran University community - regardless of the chosen degree plan. Our club strives to help the community through hosting a variety of family outreach events and support of the surrounding local school districts, while also supporting the professional growth of our own members.

Student Nurses' Association
The purpose of the TLU Student Nurses’ Association is to contribute to nursing education, contribute to the professional development of future registered nurses, facilitate entrance into the profession, provide educational resources to students, provide leadership opportunities and career guidance at the local level, and promote networking opportunities at the national level. The nursing students in the TLU Student Nurses’ Association will actively participate in community health education through attending and participating in charitable, professional, and social events. The association will further aid in the development of the student nurse as an individual, as a professional, and a health care provider. TLU Student Nurses’ Association agrees “to conduct membership for this organization without regard to race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, age, marital status, physical or mental disability, parental status, housing status, source of income or military status.”

Texas Academy of Science
The three colored sections of the Texas Academy of Science represent the focal areas of the Academy: Research, Education & Service. Green represents our early foundations in the biological sciences and our attention to research impacting the environments of Texas. Yellow serves to encourage wisdom, enlightenment and mental stimulation. The color grey indicates our long-standing history as an institution and the stability of our practical approach to mentorship and training of the next generation of Texas scientists.

Theatre Xpress
Theatre Xpress, the official student theatre organization of TLU, is a collaborative and inclusive organization that strives to create and produce dramatic works as an ensemble to uplift and contribute to the general public, both at TLU and beyond.

Black Student Union (BSU)
Black Student Union promotes advancement by challenging new viewpoints and experiences through diversity, academics, and community services. We offer students of all backgrounds the opportunity to embrace African American history, culture, customs, and implement positive change.

Mexican American Student Association (MASA)
MASA is the Mexican American Student Association at Texas Lutheran University. Founded in 1981, MASA is an organization of students made up of different ethnicities, religions, gender identities, and sexual orientations that help to promote cultural appreciation, spread awareness of social issues facing the Latinx community, and provide a support system for students at TLU. Working closely with the Center for Mexican American Studies (CMAS), MASA provides a culturally safe space where students can learn, develop, and practice leadership skills and forge lifetime memories with friends as they prepare for leadership roles and lives of service in their communities.

Sexuality Awareness for Everyone (SAFE)
Sexual Awareness for Everyone is an organization that strives to promote an environment of social justice, equal rights, tolerance, and acceptance for everyone at Texas Lutheran University. We are a safe space for students of the LGBT+ community, as well as allies, who are seeking peace and acceptance, as well as support during their processes of self-discovery. We also help to educate the community on issues related to LGBT+ current events, sexual and domestic violence, and mental health. We also educate on sexual health.
Social Clubs
An organization for the students ran by students creating and promoting events and traditions on campus
The purpose of Game Club is to foster a community of students interested in gaming, provide opportunities for skill development, and eventually participate in E-sports competitions. Current goals involve expanding the organization and increasing engagement to build a community.
The main purpose of Just Dance Club is to share the love of the game Just Dance and to create a fun and safe community space for everyone at TLU.
Immerse yourself in the world of social media by joining our Social Society! This club is all about exploring and engaging with various social platforms while supporting the university's social media team in creating and sharing content. Whether you're interested in content creation, strategy, or simply staying up to date with the latest trends, this is the perfect space to connect with like-minded peers and make a real impact on our university's online presence.
The purpose of the organization is to bring student-athlete leaders at Texas Lutheran together and to give them a voice to discuss their suggestions and concerns regarding the athletics program, individuals, and teams. The organization will assist in establishing new policies for the athletics department, when appropriate, and recommend changes to existing policies to improve the student-athlete experience. The organization will promote a positive student-athlete image to the community through leadership and service, will protect the integrity of student-athletes, and will improve communication within the
student-athlete population and between student-athletes, coaches, administrators, the student body, and the public. The SAAC will enforce and abide by all of the University’s policies and standards and the Texas Lutheran Student Code of Conduct.
The mission of VAST is to provide a positive setting for Veterans and dependents who are attending TLU. VAST also provides an outlet where faculty and students can support those who have served and those who are still serving. VAST’s vision is to help not only the Veteran but their dependents in transitioning to life on the TLU campus. It is also an outlet where others can come forward to help the Veterans and dependent.
