TLU Selected to Transfer Student Honor Roll for Fourth Year

Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK) has once again named Texas Lutheran University to its 2022 Transfer Honor Roll in recognition of the dynamic pathways the university has created to support transfer students. Just one of only 171 colleges and universities to receive this recognition, the Transfer Honor Roll recognizes four-year colleges and universities that have developed transfer pathways that lead to excellence and success among community college transfer students.

TLU has been recognized as an Honor Roll institution since 2019. The Transfer Honor Roll is determined by 40 key metrics related to the support and success of transfer students, including college cost and financial aid, campus life for transfer, admission practices, and bachelor’s degree completion. The Transfer Honor Roll was based on analysis from the National Student Clearinghouse, and on data submitted through the four-year institution’s profile on PTK Connect, Phi Theta Kappa’s online tool designed to help students find their best-fit colleges and career pathways. Colleges completing the PTK Connect profile are also given a Transfer Friendliness Rating.

Being named to Phi Theta Kappa’s Transfer Honor Roll again this year is an achievement that endorses TLU’s commitment to be a transfer-friendly institution. TLU Associate Director for Transfer Admissions Tiffany Henley continues to lead successful efforts in how the university recruits and connects with transfer students.

"This milestone is one that will be celebrated across campus, as the faculty and staff provide exceptional service and support to students who choose to make TLU their home after attending another institution," said Associate Vice President for Admissions Alecia McCain. "As an institution, we have created articulation agreements with community colleges and are committed to provide robust support to students during the enrollment process. Tiffany is committed to serving students and assesses their individual needs related to the transferability of courses, scholarship and financial aid opportunities, and application guidance. She connects with students on a personal level and is dedicated to ensuring they are prepared to continue their education at TLU."
