TLU Awarded the CPN Seal of Prevention

Texas Lutheran University has been awarded the 2023 CPN Seal of Prevention, which is presented to institutions and organizations of higher education that have demonstrated a commitment to digital prevention programs tied to student safety, well-being, and inclusion.

The CPN Seal—a distinction which was earned by less than ten percent of higher education institutions across the nation in 2023—stands for the highest standard for online prevention education, and there are rigorous standards to be met in order to receive it.

In addition to the online training modules completed by all incoming students, TLU conducts in-person training sessions for student leaders, delivers presentations to various departments, collaborates with community agencies, and organizes campus events centered around sexual violence prevention efforts.

"Receiving the CPN Seal of Prevention is a testament to TLU's commitment to fostering a safe and healthy environment for our community,” says TLU Director of Title IX and Equity Compliance Leslie Flores. “It's a proud moment for us, affirming our dedication to prioritizing prevention efforts. Looking ahead, we are committed to maintaining this distinction, prioritizing our students' and staff's safety and well-being above all else.”
