Christ Lutheran Church in Alamo Heights (CLCAH) is a community of faith that welcomes and engages people from all walks of life to receive God’s grace through worship, prayer, music, education, fellowship and service. Since 1976, CLCAH has supported TLU and the university's mission. For the last 18 years, the church has also regularly contributed to the Lutheran Advantage Scholarship fund.
The Lutheran Advantage Scholarship is designed to offer highly qualified Lutheran students the opportunity to continue their education in a challenging and nurturing faith-based environment by assisting their efforts with $1,000 awards.
Since TLU relies heavily on the annual contributions and support of neighboring congregations, CLCAH continued commitment to students is greatly appreciated.
"We are committed to helping preserve quality Lutheran higher education in South Texas," CLCAH Pastor Leslie Price said. "In particular, we value TLU as a place where students grow and develop a faith-based intellect that empowers them to lead in both society and the church."
