The 2022 Black and Gold President’s Council (BGPC) recently inducted its newest members and honored seniors with their graduation stole.
This year, TLU welcomes new members Carmen Briles, Courtney Burnett, Sidney Cox, Reese Fellers, Bailey Hudgeons, Caroline Olson, Jordan Mendoza, Sophia Sauceda, and Linden Williamson. Graduating seniors include Brittany Casarez, Antonio Flores, Spencer Lee, Renee Petree, Chassety Raines, and Jesse Ramos.
Started in 2012, the prestigious Black & Gold President’s Council (BGPC) is a group of students selected to represent TLU at various events and occasions both on and off campus. Focusing on networking skills and social leadership, BGPC are official representatives of the university.
Students eligible for BGPC must be classified as juniors or seniors for the upcoming academic year and must be nominated by a faculty or staff member. Once nominated, candidates submit an application and undergo an intense interview process.
If chosen, they’re expected to maintain a 3.0 G.P.A., remain active within the campus community, and attend numerous events on behalf of TLU.
