Black and Gold President’s Council Inducts Four New Members

The month of May started on a positive note, as four new members were inducted into TLU’s prestigious Black and President’s Gold Council.

Since 2012, the BGPC has served TLU by representing the university at events, both on and off campus. Rising juniors and seniors are nominated by faculty and staff members—but that’s only the first hurdle. Candidates must then submit an application, undergo an intensive interview process, and if selected, maintain a 3.0 or above GPA for the duration of their tenure on the council.

Those who are chosen are gifted special blazers in a spring ceremony, while graduating seniors are presented with stoles to wear during commencement.

New members this year are Gianna Baeza-Smith, Emily Clymer, Richelle Guerra, and Michelle Lopez. Graduating seniors are Easton Allen, Travis Bishop, Aliyah Harris, Ella McCarthy, Marco Rodriguez, Eduarda Stein-Christ, Madeline Ynostrosa.

TLU applauds the dedication of each member and appreciates their service to the university and the community.
