Baptist Health Foundation of San Antonio (BHFSA) granted Texas Lutheran University $100,000 in nursing scholarships for the 2022-2023 academic year. The scholarships are to be distributed with $65,000 going to the traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) students at the main campus in Seguin and the additional $35,000 going to the Accelerated BSN students at the Resolute Health campus in New Braunfels.

“We are immensely grateful to Baptist Health Foundation of San Antonio for their continued generosity and support of TLU Nursing through these scholarships,” said Theresa Cook Spiess, Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations at TLU. “Their faith-based giving is a tremendous blessing and makes a huge difference in the lives of our students who have chosen the critical vocation of nursing.”

The scholarships will be awarded based on both need and merit for students who have declared their major in nursing. The award ceremony was celebrated on Friday, August 19 at the BHFSA Scholarship Partner Celebration in San Antonio.
