The TLU Student Engagement Awards were created to recognize student organizations and their outstanding officers and members, as well as staff and faculty who help support the organizations. This year, students nominated more than 50 people for nine different awards, and winners were announced at the inaugural award ceremony on May 1.

This year’s winners are:

Student Organization of the year - Math Club
Student Worker of the year - Sage Stevens
New Student Organization of the year - TLU Women's Association
Student Organization Officer of the Year - Sophia Sauceda
Student Organization Member of the Year - Emily Holstein
Student Organization Advisor of the Year - Leslie Flores
Faculty Member of the Year - Dr. Robert Jonas
Staff Member of the Year - Jessica Anderson
Best Social Media Campaign - Black Student Union

Director of Student Engagement Tiffany Balderas says her department “hopes to continue this tradition to make it bigger and better and to continue recognizing students who have gone above and beyond to truly make TLU's campus a great place to be.”
