Join the Office of Alumni Relations and graduates Thomas Verm '15 (Licensed Master Social Worker at MD Anderson), Kevin Boyle '12 (Health Promotion Specialist, Certified Life Coach, and Mediator), and Alumni Association President Nathan Gigee '12 for a conversation about common signs of anxiety and depression that many of us face every day.

The group will discuss and answer questions about:

  • How to take care of yourself in proper, healthy ways
  • Breaking barriers between the normalcy of mental chaos and reality
  • How alumni are engaging in their work
  • Personal experiences that shed light on the importance of mental health

Thomas Verm '15

Psychology major Thomas Verm holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Houston and has worked as a social work counselor MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston since 2018. He supports patients through counseling and resource management as they engage with staging and treatment of their cancer diagnosis.
