Community members are invited to visit the heritage museum to see the exhibit, which will display the importance of Diez y Seis de Septiembre, how the Seguin community used to commemorate the day, and traditional vestuario. You will find a QR code on the poster that will allow you to hear the esteemed, Profesor Benjamin Cruz Ascencio recite “El Grito”. El Grito de Dolores, or "the Cry of Dolores", is a speech that was given by Father Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla on September 16, 1810, that called for Mexicans to fight for independence from Spain.
