COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Under partnership with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania, in Northern Diocese, Shao continues to raise awareness and support for the Watoto Project, a children’s project that focuses on helping orphans in Tanzania who have been affected by the AIDS epidemic. Under the guidance from the Center for Servant Leadership, this initiative is currently supported by TLU students, Faith Lutheran Church and Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church. Students work alongside community members to advocate and raise funds for Watoto.This project allows students to be civically engaged while better understanding their role on a local and global level.
