SEGUIN, Texas – Kimberly Kaim, Lesly Melo and Reagan Eastwood each scored for the Mississippi College Choctaws in a 3-1 win Saturday over Texas Lutheran.
At TLU’s Gustafson Field, the Choctaws took an early1-0 lead on a goal by Kaim in the 10th minute.
Melo scored on a penalty kick in the 68th minute to give MC the 2-0 advantage.
The Bulldogs closed to 2-1 with the first career goal by Krystal Valencia, who scored in the 80th minute off an assist from Lauren Brehm.
MC sealed the victory in the 82nd minute on a goal by Eastwood. The goal was unassisted.
MC out-shot TLU 20-5 and had and 11-2 edge in shots on goal.
MC improved to 9-5-3 overall and to 7-2-2 in the American Southwest Conference.
TLU fell to 5-6-3 overall and to 3-4-3 in the ASC.
