TLU adds new faculty

SEGUIN – Texas Lutheran University has added 19 new members to its faculty for the fall semester.
Full-time faculty members added are Rebecca Clark, lecturer, mathematics; Dr. William Davis, associate professor of chemistry; Dr. Sam Hijazi, associate professor of computer science and information systems; Dr. Rebecca Oekerman, associate professor of education; Dr. Scott Orr, assistant professor of political science; Dr. William Powell, assistant professor of physics; Brenci Patiño, visiting instructor in modern languages; Dr. Rocío Ocón-Garrido, assistant professor of Spanish; and Dr. Sara M. Sliter-Hays, assistant professor of English.
Those who were part-time faculty and are now full-time are Steve Boehm, lecturer in sociology and criminal justice; Dr. Robert Galloway, associate professor of business administration; Timothy Kent, assistant professor of kinesiology; and Carolyn Turner, lecturer in psychology.
New part-time faculty members are Reynaldo Arrieta, modern languages; Dr. George Wrisley, philosophy; Sondra M. D’Aquisto, sociology; Dr. Thomas Mitchell Stedman, biology; Courtney Filner, music; and Thomas Boynton, mathematics.
TLU began its 118
th academic year on Tuesday with its traditional Opening Convocation and the start of classes for the fall semester.
