SEGUIN – Enrollment is now underway at Texas Lutheran University’s Center for Professional Development for real estate pre-licensing courses that are required for individuals who wish to take the Texas Real Estate Licensing Examination.
Each course in TLU’s series of real estate pre-licensing classes includes 30 classroom hours taught over a two-week period. The core classes include Principles of Real Estate I, Sept. 4-13; Principles of Real Estate II, Sept. 24-Oct. 4; Law of Agency, Oct. 15-25; Law of Contracts, Nov. 5-15; and Real Estate Marketing, Nov. 26-Dec. 6.
Electives to meet pre-licensing and renewal requirements include Real Estate Law, which will be taught Jan. 7-17, 2008; and Property Management, scheduled for Jan. 28-Feb.7, 2008.
The classes are scheduled Monday through Thursday, 6-10 p.m., at TLU’s Tschoepe Hall and will be taught by real estate veteran, John Whitworth, a certified real estate instructor (CREI). Texas Lutheran University is an official Texas Real Estate Commission provider.
The cost for each class is $130 to $150, which includes tuition, required textbooks, and materials. To qualify for enrollment, the fee must be paid in full by noon on the Friday prior to the start of the class. Payments may be made by check, cash, or credit card at the Center for Professional Development office, Tschoepe Hall, Room 125. The deadline for enrollment in the first class is noon, Aug. 31. The late enrollment cost is $150-$170 per course.
