Youth Choir Festival with Dr. Z. Randall Stroope

The Texas Lutheran University School of Music invites you to bring your entire choir or members of your choir to experience a day of great singing with other children and youth choir members from across Texas. Dr. Stroope will bring new ideas to your teaching repertoire and a fun day of choral music experience to your participating choir members.

We invite treble singers from fourth grade through high school to attend this workshop. If you want to bring your entire choir, we invite you to sing one or two pieces during the final concert. Our space is limited to 240 singers, so please register early to secure a spot. As a director, you will have the opportunity to talk with Dr. Stroope, getting to hear his story and some time tested tips and ideas to help make a successful choral program. Bring your questions to ask Dr. Stroope during the director’s session. Singers should wear choir shirts or school shirts for the day along with blue jeans and tennis shoes. Each choir must bring one chaperone for every five students. There must be a representative chaperone in attendance at all rehearsals.
