Rabbi Mara Nathan Lectures 2018

Our annual Rabbi Samuel M. Stahl Lectures continue on Wednesday, February 7. As the senior rabbi of Temple Beth-El in San Antonio, Rabbi Nathan is the first woman to serve as the senior rabbi of a major congregation in Texas. Rabbi Nathan is a graduate of Northwestern University and the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. She has received numerous academic awards for her work in Hebrew, history, and Talmudic studies, and Rabbi Nathan is deeply committed to sacred community building, innovations in worship, and teaching Torah to learners of all ages. On Friday, January 19, Rabbi Nathan provided the invocation for the opening of the daily session of the United States House of Representatives in Washington, D.C.
