October 2 - 3, 2015

Your student has been exploring so much since arriving at TLU. Join us for Family Weekend to learn what your student has been up to, TLU traditions and how to make the best of your student's experience!

When You Arrive


  • Friday, October 2 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the Alumni Student Center 
  • Saturday, October 3 from 8 - 9 a.m. in Hein Dining Hall OR 9:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the Alumni Student Center


  • Before 5:30 p.m. on Friday, parking will be available for families in the lot behind Jackson Auditorium.
  • From 5:30 p.m. on Friday until 8 a.m. on Monday, all lots on campus are available for families. Fire lanes and handicap spaces will be enforced.
  • Parents and family members are also welcome to park in all spaces marked for visitors.

The TLU Experience: Q&A with Kristi Quiros, Vice President and Dean of Student Life and Learning - Dunne Conference Center, Tschoepe Hall

Dean Quiros will update parents on the latest happenings at TLU and then open it up for questions and answers.

11:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Show Me The Money! - Dunne Conference Center, Tschoepe Hall

Representatives from the Financial Aid Office will share financial aid updates and scholarship information.

11:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

5 Under 30 Panel - Dunne Conference Center, Tschoepe Hall

The panel brings five TLU alumni under the age of 30 back to campus. Panelists will share successes, mistakes, transitions and the experiences that prepared them for graduation and life in today’s workforce.

Pick up your Family Weekend Breakfast tickets and other materials.

8:15 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.

Family Weekend Breakfast - Timmerman Room, Hein Dining Hall

Enjoy a delicious breakfast* and meet TLU President, Dr. Stuart Dorsey and Student Government Association President, Nikki Castillo. Our menu includes scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, assorted juices, fresh fruit and more!

*Important Note: The Office of First Year and Campus will only provide free meal tickets for parents, guests, and commuter students (1) who RSVP by September 30 and (2) who do not have a meal plan, Dining Dollars, or Bulldog Bucks. Students with a meal plan will be responsible for swiping their student identification cards at Hein.

9:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

This is a great place to stop by if (1) you did not attend Friday’s sessions or (2) you missed the Saturday breakfast. Stop by to learn about all Homecoming activities scheduled throughout the day.

TLU Homecoming Football Game

Cheer on the Bulldogs as they take on Howard Payne University.

Tickets will be available at the gate and are priced as follows: General admission $8, seniors (65 and over) $5, children 7-18 $5, and TLU students and children 6 and under are free.
