Texas Lutheran University received a $234,136 donation from the Lutheran Foundation of the Southwest (LSFW). The donation will be used for student scholarships and specific University funds per donors' request.
Founded in Austin, Texas in 1979, the foundation makes it possible for faithful people to share their legacy dollars with ministries that they believe in, giving to ELCA ministries throughout Texas. TLU is one of the seven original sponsoring Lutheran agencies supported by the LFSW.
"We are so grateful for each donor who chose to support TLU and our mission through the Lutheran Foundation of the Southwest this year. This collective gift represents the largest gift TLU has received from LSFW to date," said Theresa Spiess, TLU's director of corporate & foundation relations. "This generosity enables these donors to leave a legacy of exceptional liberal arts education to the next generation of Bulldogs."
TLU thanks the generous donors who contributed to making this collective impact on the University's mission possible.
