SEGUIN – Tickets are still available for one of the liveliest fundraisers of the season. Southwest Airlines’ founder and chairman emeritus Herb D. Kelleher and president emeritus Colleen Barrett will bring their keen sense of business – and humor – to the 9th annual Texas Lutheran University Excellence in Leadership Dinner on Nov. 17 at the Grand Hyatt in San Antonio.
The evening, which raises funds for scholarships for tomorrow’s leaders, will feature the entertaining and informal banter between the airline legends and TLU President Ann Svennungsen. “A Conversation on Leadership with Herb Kelleher and Colleen Barrett” will be an evening to remember as Kelleher and Barrett share their unique perspectives on business, the Southwest Airlines culture of fun, and working together for over 30 years.
The TLU Excellence in Leadership Dinner annually honors business, community, and civic leaders. Past honorees are Graham Weston, John Montford, Judge Nelson Wolff and Tracy Wolff, The Rev. Dr. Louis H. Zbinden Jr. and Katherine “Kip” Zbinden, Nancy Loeffler, Ed Whitacre, Gov. Dolph Briscoe, and the late Gen. Robert Herres.
VIP tables for this year’s event are $5,000, which includes a table for 10, VIP reception with the honorees and valet parking. Other tables are available for $2,500 and $1,750. Individual tickets are $250.
