TLU offers Pre-licensing Real Estate Program

SEGUIN – The Center for Professional Development at TLU offers a series of five pre-licensure courses that are required for individuals who wish to take the Texas Real Estate Licensing Examination.
Each course includes 30 classroom hours taught over a two-week period. The core classes include Principles of Real Estate I (March 30-April 9, 2009), Principles of Real Estate II (April 20-30, 2009), Law of Agency (May 11-21, 2009), Law of Contracts, (June 1-11, 2009), and Marketing (June 22-July 2, 2009).
Electives to meet pre-licensing and renewal requirements include Real Estate Law, July 13-23, 2009; and Property Management, August 3-13, 2009.
The classes are scheduled Monday through Thursday, 6-10 p.m., at TLU’s Tschoepe Hall and will be taught by real estate veteran John Whitworth, a certified real estate instructor (CREI). Texas Lutheran University is an official Texas Real Estate Commission provider.
The cost for each class is $130 to $150 which includes tuition, required textbooks and materials. To qualify for enrollment, the fee must be paid in full by noon on the Friday prior to the start of the class. Payments may be made by check, cash or credit card at the Center for Professional Development office, Tschoepe Hall, Room 125. The deadline for enrollment in the first class is noon, March 27. The late enrollment cost is $150-$170 per course.
The US Department of Labor notes that “well-trained, ambitious people who enjoy selling—particularly those with extensive social and business connections in their communities—should have the best chance for success.” You will be well-trained with this program that has a proven track record of successful program completers.
