Over the years, food insecurity has been an increasing concern for students and their peers. While there have been locations across the TLU campus that have provided food in an unofficial capacity, students wanted to establish a central location.
As a result, the Student Government Association adopted the food pantry as an initiative in May 2022, and the pantry officially opened inside Clifton Hall in September that year.
During operating hours, the pantry averages at least 10 students and 60 pounds of food and supplies distributed per day. Since opening, the pantry has provided 5,200 pounds of food to 1,400 student visitors.
Established pantries are a staple on many college campuses, and having a well-supported and well-funded operation at TLU will strengthen and expand the student experience.
Due to increased use and growing need, the TLU Food Pantry is now open 24/7.
To gain access, please visit the Student Engagement Center to complete an application in person, or use the link below
Once your application is complete, we will set up your student ID to grant you access to the pantry door.
To access the pantry, please enter through the south entrance of Clifton Hall (across from Moody Science/Krost).
