The social sciences examine how people interact with each other and their world, using scientific inquiry and data driven solutions to address social problems and improve quality of life at the individual and societal level. At TLU, our social science programs develop engaged leaders, critical thinkers, creative problem solvers, and effective communicators with strong interpersonal skills and cultural awareness, prepared to enter the workforce or graduate programs and collaborate with others to have a positive impact in their communities. Students work closely with faculty mentors and engage in experiential learning beyond the classroom through research, internships, service learning, and study away opportunities to explore various career paths and determine where their interests intersect with the world’s needs.
