The Texas Lutheran University Alumni Association unites all alumni through a formal organization dedicated to engaging, inspiring and reconnecting its members and instilling pride in their alma mater. The Association allows any person with 30 credits or more from TLU to join free of charge. Email email@example.com to join!
Alumni live in 55 countries around the world and work at companies like AT&T, Dell, PricewaterhouseCoopers, USAA, MD Anderson, Lockheed Martin, Valero Energy, H-E-B, The Mayo Clinic, Proctor & Gamble, The San Antonio Zoo, Caterpillar, and Southwest Research Institute.
TLU Alumni Association Board of Directors collaborates with admissions on recruiting, promotes and helps organize Alumni & Family Weekend, sponsors all home football game tailgating, hosts regional events, mentors students and young alumni, sponsors and hosts the Class Ring Ceremony each year, and assists with fundraising during TLU’s Day Of Giving. No dues required to join and members must have 30 credit-hours or more from TLU.
To inspire and engage alumni while promoting lifelong connections among alumni and friends in support of the university’s mission.

President Kim Wendel Chanler ’02
San Antonio native Kim Wendel Chanler ’02 is a second-generation TLU graduate and the daughter of Stephen "Whip" Wendel ’71. Chanler has served on the Alumni Board for nine consecutive years, with the last two serving as president-elect.
While at TLU, she was a member and officer of Beta Alpha Sigma, a member of the Student Government Association, and a friend to many. Kim graduated with a Business degree in Marketing.
She is a commercial claims adjuster for Progressive Insurance and works as a health and wellness coach in her spare time. She is married to Chris Chanler and they reside in San Antonio with their son, Casen Bryce, and daughter, Cambry Bristol, who are also future Bulldogs.
The couple also has two angels in heaven son, Bryce Wendel, and daughter, Bristol Anne. Chanler proudly looks forward to serving as president of the Alumni Association Board of Directors.
