Helah Leialoha Rivera Selected as 2025 Presser Scholar at Texas Lutheran University

Texas Lutheran University is proud to announce that senior Helah Leialoha Rivera, a trombonist who is majoring in music education, is the recipient of The Presser Foundation’s 2025-26 Undergraduate Scholar Award.

TLU Sumners Scholar Announced: Andie Lozano-Lomeli Awarded $40,000 Scholarship

Andie Lozano-Lomeli, a sophomore communication studies and political science double major at Texas Lutheran University was recently awarded a $40,000 scholarship by the Sumners Foundation of Irving, Texas. Scholarships are awarded by the Foundation based on civic engagement, academic excellence, a capacity for leadership, and a desire to further our democracy.

Every year, Texas Lutheran University presents the Distinguished Alumni Award to honor a graduate who has made significant impacts professionally, personally, and civically. This spring, the university presented the award to Dave Sather ’89.

The community is invited to come and experience a wide range of artwork during the Annual Student Art Show at Texas Lutheran University. The show opens with a reception on April 23, from 3–5 p.m. in the Annetta Kraushaar Gallery on campus.

Finding Intersections: TLU Contributes to NECU Magazine

Twice a year, the Network of ELCA Colleges and Universities (NECU), of which TLU is a member, publishes a magazine called Intersections.
