For more than a century, Texas Lutheran University has prepared students not only for careers, but for lives of purpose, leadership, and service. Rooted in the liberal arts and grounded in values of integrity, community, and faith, TLU develops graduates who think critically, lead ethically, and contribute meaningfully to the world around them.
Today, higher education is undergoing rapid transformation. Rising costs, shifting demographics, and evolving workforce expectations are reshaping how students choose colleges—and how institutions must respond. In this environment, standing still is not an option. TLU must act boldly to preserve what makes it distinctive while advancing to meet the future.
This campaign is a defining investment in that future. It is not simply about growth–it is about ensuring long-term strength, relevance, and impact for Texas Lutheran University and the students it serves.

Four Campaign Priorities
To secure a strong and enduring future, our campaign is anchored in four (4) interconnected priorities within Boldly Forward, TLU’s 2026-28 strategic plan:
Gifts for Current Operations
Provides gifts that are immediately expendable to support TLU’s current operations. These gifts allow TLU to innovate, invest in academic quality, and remain financially accessible without compromising our mission.
Endowment
Endowment provides permanent support for TLU by investing gifts to generate annual income. Examples include scholarships, chairs and professorships, programmatic funds, and unrestricted endowments.
Facilities
New and renovated facilities provide the necessary environment for students to learn and thrive. In 2025, TLU dedicated the Verne Lundquist Student Athletic Center. Priorities include renovations to Moody Science Building, nursing facilities, other classroom and laboratory renovations, and more.
Planned Gifts
Planned gifts help ensure TLU’s long-term financial stability and secure the institution’s future. Making an estate gift intention allows you to participate in the campaign but defer your actual gift until later. Estate gifts empower strategic funding for future goals for generations to come.
