Campus Recreation

Students have various opportunities to stay fit, have fun, and meet new people through intramural sports.

Jones Complex

The Jones Complex houses basketball courts, racquetball courts, volleyball courts, aerobic fitness, and a functional training room. The complex is open for student use during the evening when not reserved for collegiate sports. Tennis courts, a 1 KM walking/jogging track and lighted sand volleyball courts are also available.

Jones Complex/Bulldog Gym Spring Hours: Sunday - Thursday: 7 - 10 p.m.

Fitness Center

A 13,000-square-foot fitness center with treadmills, bikes, and elliptical machines, as well as Life Fitness weight machines and a large free weight area is available from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. most days of the week. Zumba, Tabata, Yoga and other fitness classes are offered throughout the week. Campus recreation often hosts fitness challenges throughout the year to help students, faculty and staff kickstart their New Year's resolutions or get into a healthy routine.

Spring Hours

Sunday: 4 - 10 p.m.
Monday - Thursday: 6:30 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Friday: 6:30 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Saturday: 2 - 5 p.m.

Intramural Sports

The university offers a well-rounded program of intramural sports open to all students, faculty and staff, with activities for individuals, groups of men or women, and co-ed groups. Competition includes teams from fraternities and sororities, independent students, residence hall floors, and faculty and staff.

The program includes flag football, volleyball, tennis, racquetball, soccer, 3-on-3 basketball, basketball, kickball, dodgeball, bowling, beach volleyball and softball. Other activities are added according to the diverse interests of the current student body.
