Katy Miles-Wallace '14 is a graduate of Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley, Calif. where her studies focused on minority theologies and her own practical study on preaching and pastoral care. Miles-Wallace finished out her time in seminary with an internship at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Dublin, Ohio before being assigned back to the Southwestern Texas Synod where she has been awaiting her call to serve a congregation.
It was during her junior year at TLU when she felt a call to pastoral ministry and began pursuing candidacy in the ELCA. She was also baptized and confirmed on the TLU campus and found a church home at Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church in Seguin.
Miles-Wallace also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from TLU where she was a member of the Black & Gold President's Council, president of the campus American Marketing Association chapter, and a member of the Campus Congregation Council. She also participated in a variety of other campus organizations and activities, including a study abroad semester at Harlaxton College.
She is very glad to be settling down with her family back in a town she calls home.
