Chapel Resumes in Virtual Format

As TLU Campus Ministry continues to navigate how we can join each other in worship, chapel services will be live streamed beginning Wednesday, October 21, at 10 a.m. All services will be available to watch any time on TLU’s Vimeo account and attendees can even submit virtual prayer requests.

Led by Interim Campus Pastors Katy Wallace-Miles and Kelsie Theiss, the 2020 theme of "Abide" is a throwback to 2011 when former Campus Pastor Greg Ronning asked everyone to consider ways that we abide at TLU and the ways that God abides in the Chapel of the Abiding Presence.

In 2020, we find ourselves asking the same questions: How can we abide when we can’t gather in that chapel? How can we abide with limited classrooms, interactions, and residences? Does God still abide when things are like this?

This year Campus Ministry will explore different ways that God abides with us and that we can abide in these strange times through three biblical vignettes: the story of Jonah, the story of Simeon in the Temple, and the story of Jesus at Gethsemane. All of this pointing us back to John 15:4-11, that we abide in the vine that is Christ.
