2021-22 FAFSA & Refund By Direct Deposit Now Available

Students who will be enrolled in fall 2021 and spring 2022 can now apply for the Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Visit studentaid.gov to complete the application as soon as possible since some financial aid funds (including Federal SEOG and Tuition Equalization Grant) have limited amounts available, and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

It's important to remember that these funds are not guaranteed from one year to the next. To be considered for these funds, the TLU Office of Student Financial Services encourages families to submit applications prior to the end of the fall semester, but no later than February 1.

Refund by Direct Deposit

Student Financial Services now offers Refunds by Direct Deposit. Beginning October 1, 2020 excess Title IV funds and other credit balances will be refunded to students via Direct Deposit. Refund by Direct Deposit is free, saves time, and is more efficient by eliminating:

  • The need to pick up checks
  • The need to go to the bank
  • Lost, misplaced or stolen paper checks
  • Mailing time and delays

All students must enroll in Direct Deposit by January 15, 2021. Students who are still expecting a refund of aid for this fall need to enroll immediately.
