Texas Lutheran University welcomes Abby Wambach, Olympian, author, and activist, on Tuesday, September 14, at 7 p.m., in Jackson Auditorium. Wambach is a two-time Olympic gold medalist, FIFA World Cup Champion, and six-time winner of the U.S. Soccer Athlete of the Year award. She was the United States’ leading scorer in the 2007 and 2011 Women’s World Cup tournaments and the 2004 and 2012 Olympics.

An activist for equality and inclusion, she is the author of the #1 New York Times-bestseller WOLFPACK as well as the forthcoming adaptation of WOLFPACK for the next generation. Abby is also co-founder of Wolfpack Endeavor, a training program that is revolutionizing leadership development for women in the workplace and beyond, and sits on the Board of Directors for the nonprofit organization Together Rising.

She lives in Florida with her wife, author Glennon Doyle, and their three children.

While this event is free to attend, tickets will be required for entry into Jackson Auditorium. Tickets will be available online beginning August 14 and will also be available in-person at the TLU Bookstore, by calling 830-372-8063 or by emailing events@tlu.edu. We ask all guests who reserve tickets and are able to attend to please be seated by 6:50 p.m. All other unused tickets will then be released at that time.
