Scoreboard

Lending a helping hand to the community – The TLU men’s baseball and women’s basketball teams donated time and effort last semester to support the Guadalupe Valley Family Violence Shelter and the Guadalupe Valley Humane Society, respectively.

In December, 49 members of the Bulldog baseball team went door-to-door throughout Seguin gathering donations. At the end of the evening, they had collected 928 pounds of canned goods, clothing and supplies for the Guadalupe Valley Family Violence Shelter.

The women’s basketball team spent three Saturdays in October and November volunteering at the Guadalupe County Humane Society. The team cleaned kennels, replenished supplies, and swept and mopped floors in the cat and dog living areas. The team also assisted with the loading and unloading of two large supply trailers to the pet shelter.  Among the supplies in the trailers were kitty litter, dog and cat food, and bird seed.
