Residential Services
Laundry Facilities Card-operated washers and dryers are available in each area. Cards may be purchased with cash at the VTM Laundry Card Machine loacted by the Information Center in the Alumni Student Center and may be recharged at the students’ convenience.
Mail Service Each campus resident is assigned a campus mailbox. The Campus Post Office is located in the Alumni Student Center. Mail is addressed to the student at
Texas Lutheran University, 1000 W. Court St, Seguin, Texas 78155. Telephone Service Upon request, TLU will provide complimentary local phone and voicemail services to a telephone jack located in each room. Contact the Information Technology Help desk at 830-372-6000 or by e-mailing
ishelp@tlu.edu to establish service. Residents pay for their long distance charges with a personal calling card.
E-mail Service TLU provides each student an e-mail address. The university also has in-room Internet service available via an Ethernet connection. Each student has a port for their computer connection. For more information contact the Office of Information Services (830-372-6000). This system works separately from the phone lines.
Cable Television Cable Television is provided in each residence hall room and each apartment living room. Seguin Hall has the connection for cable television in the suite area only.
Safety Several programs and services are available to enhance safety measures in the residence halls. All exterior doors are locked 24 hours a day, and residents gain access to their residential area with their student ID card. The residence hall staff provides safety programs throughout the year on topics such as harassment, personal safety, and securing personal property. The TLU Police officers work closely with residence hall staff by patroling residence halls, parking lots, and other buildings. The police also offer a 24-hour police escort program. Campus parking permits may be obtained through the Information Center in the Alumni Student Center and are regulated through campus police.
