Mandatory Meeting
Mandatory managers’ meeting September 5 in 129 JC You must have a representative attend the meeting or your team will not be eligible to play. Teams that forfeit will be dropped from the league unless they pay a $10.00 forfeit fee to be reinstated.
Scorekeepers
Each team must provide a person to keep score and the tournament will be
self-officiated.
Format
Double elimination tournament or pool play to single elimination. Two out of three games to 25; must win by two; rally scoring.
Schedule
The schedules will be posted on the Intramural bulletin boards at the ASC and in the Fitness Center. If your team cannot make a scheduled match call the Intramural office 24 hours before the match. It will be recorded as a loss instead of a forfeit. Teams may do this only once during regular play and not at all during playoffs.
Equipment
The intramural supervisor on duty will provide game balls.
No jewelry! Shoes may be worn.
Play begins
Play times will be announced at the beginning of the season.
No ID no play
All players must present their TLU ID before every game in order to be eligible to play.
Eligibility
All currently enrolled students, faculty and staff are eligible to participate in intramural activities. Current collegiate volleyball players are ineligible.
Rainouts
Team managers are responsible for calling the rainout phone number (x6762) if weather may affect the tournament. The message will be updated by 8 p.m. the day of play.

Teams
A team shall consist of four players on the court at a time (co-rec.: at least one girl). A minimum of two players is required to start or continue play.
Time Factors / Scoring
- Game time is forfeit time
- Each match will be best two of three games to 25. Must win by two. Rally scoring.
- Each team will be allowed a one minute time out per match
- No touching the net or going under it
- Only “clean” hits are allowed
- Serve anywhere behind back line
- Co-Rec: a woman has to hit the ball at least once if three hits occur
- Teams will switch sides after each game and when the first team reaches 13 in the third game
Ejections/Suspensions
- The intramural supervisor on duty has the right to remove any player from a match for unsportsmanlike conduct. That player will be suspended for the remainder of the match and the following match.
- A player that is ejected must meet with the Recreation Director before the next match and will not be allowed to play until doing so.
- This activity is conducted on the honor system. Any complaints about teams or specific team members need to be made at the time of the dispute to the supervisor on duty.
- All decisions made by the intramural supervisor on duty will be final.
