Career Services Policies

Falsification of Information Policy
TLU Job Seekers registering and submitting their profiles and résumés are certifying that the information is truthful and accurate. Those found providing false information will be ineligible for on-campus recruiting.

Employer Integrity
TLU's Career Services provides a free job posting service available to present students and alumni. Career Services and Texas Lutheran University in no way endorses any company and/or its services. Due to the volume of job postings received, Career Services is unable to research the integrity of each organization or person that lists a job vacancy. It is the responsibility of each client to verify the specific information pertaining to the job postings and decide if whether or not to pursue them would be in their best interest.

Interview Policy
TLU Interviewees may schedule, re-schedule or cancel appointments up to two days (48 hours) before the interview-not including the day of the interview. Cancellations or changes within 48 hours of the interview must be made by calling Career Services at 830-372-8178. Cancellations made after this period will be considered "no-shows".

No-Show and Cancellation Policy
Students who fail to keep interview appointments are costly to employers and prevent other students from having an interview. Consequently, the following policy has been implemented:

  • Interviews may be scheduled, rescheduled or canceled up to 48 hours before your interview.
  • Students who need to cancel an inteview time within 48 hours of the interview, must call Career Services at 830-372-8178.
  • Any student who does not give at least a 48 hour notice of canceling an interview will be considered a "no-show."
  • One "no-show" may result in the loss of your interviewing privileges for the remainder of the academic year.
  • A student who is a "no-show" must meet with the director to have his/her interviewing privileges reinstated.
  • A letter of apology must be written to the offended recruiter.
