On-Campus Recruiting and Policy
Texas Lutheran University is an exciting place and is the academic home to exciting students. We are a community of 1,372 students who major in varied subject areas, receiving degrees in business administration, the sciences, music and liberal arts. We graduate about 250 students per year and our students and recent graduates look for internship, summer, and permanent employment in Texas and all over the world. We would like for you to join the list of employers who hire our students and graduates.
ON CAMPUS RECRUITMENT POLICY
COST
There is no cost to participate in the On-campus Recruitment program.
EMPLOYER ELIGIBILITY
Career Development OCR is available to bonafide organizations offering professional career opportunities requiring a Bachelor's or Master's degree. Organizations requiring a monetary investment from candidates are excluded from participation in the On-campus Recruitment Program. Third party recruiters and staffing companies are equally excluded from participating in OCR. Employers offering straight commission or salary draw positions will be equally excluded from participating in OCR.
OPEN SCHEDULE
All TLU students who meet the companies recruitment criteria is open to TLU students and alumni that graduated within six months from TLU. The standard interview schedule consists of twelve 30-minute interviews, two 15-minute breaks, and one hour for lunch. Interviews begin at 8:45 a.m. and end at 4:15 p.m. Please inform us if you have a change in schedule outline (45 or 60min). The Career Development hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
SIGN-UP PROCEDURES
Dependant upon recruitment criteria for positions, schedules are OPEN to all TLU students and recent graduates (6 months from Graduation) who meet your minimum requirements. All are welcome to sign up for available interviews three days before the interview on campus. There is no guarantee of a full schedule.
COMPANY CANCELLATION - NO SHOW POLICY
Companies that cancel within 24 hours of their recruitment date are required to contact the students on their interview schedule and reschedule appointments at their own office. That is not the responsibility of TLU Career Development. Companies that are a no-show for their on-campus recruitment day also are required to reschedule appointments and will be placed on a "holding pattern" for the following semester. Companies that are a last minute cancellation will only be allowed to interview on campus on a "space available basis only" for the following semester. OPTIONS FOR EXPOSURE
On Campus Recruitment
Held in the Meadow's Center Library room, this is a service to employers to help you fill your internship and job openings - by coming to campus to perform interviews with students and recent graduates.
Informational/Recruitment Booths Employers are welcome to set up an informational booth in our Alumni Student Center. This Center provides high volumes of student traffic to recruiter booths. Booths are allowed on any day open for on-campus recruitment. Please contact Kathy Hartman for more information -

Posting Job and Internship Openings Employers who wish to post job vacancies for permanent, full time, part time, internship or summer positions should register on our primary on-line
résumé/job exchange system. You will have the opportunity to post and monitor your positions, and view résumés posted by TLU students seeking your positions.
