Guadalupe County Humane Society - Must qualify for Federal Work-Study:
Kennel Helpers Wanted. GCHS has job openings for part time paid kennel workers.  Applicants must be reliable and comfortable interacting closely with animals.  Responsibilities will include feeding, watering and grooming animals, as well as cleaning kennels and helping to maintain the facility overall.  Flexible shifts between the hours of 7 a.m. and 2 p.m.  Pay is $7.25 per hour. Contact the Office of Financial Aid for a referral form.

Spring 2010

 
Tutors and Supplemental Instruction Leaders wanted for Spring Semester:
The Academic Support Center is looking for a student interested in becoming either a Tutor or an SI Leader for the spring semester 2010. Applicants must have an overall CGPA of at least 3.0 and a grade of 3.0 or above in the selected courses. The student also needs at least two TLU faculty recommendations (form is included in the application packet), good interpersonal and communication skills, and enrollment in (or have already completed) ID 338: Practicum in Academic Tutoring and Supplemental Instruction in the spring semester (Thursdays at 4:00-7:00 p.m.). It is preferred that students interested in becoming an SI Leader have prior enrollment in the selected course with the same professor who will be teaching the course during the spring semester. For students that are interested in either a Tutor or SI Leader position, applications are available in the Meadows Center in the ASC and should be turned in as soon as possible.
