EDITOR, THEOLOGY/PHILOSOPHY REVIEW – Student needed to oversee the overall production of the Theology/Philosophy Review and ensure that its content and design maintain a high level of quality. Other duties include: coordinate planning for each issue, solicit articles from potential contributors, make photo/graphic assignments as needed, maintain story budget, work with the Publishing Services Office on establishing copy, printing, and delivery deadlines, etc. Job requirements include strong writing and editing skills, including knowledge of the University of Chicago style of documentation, ease with computer software programs, ability to perform in a leadership role working cooperatively with faculty advisors, the editorial board and other members of the department as well as the ability to set and meet deadlines. The position is for one academic year and is paid on an hourly basis as a student assistant in the Department of Theology and Philosophy. MAIL ASSISTANT – The TLU Post Office is looking for a student to work during the summer from Monday, May 12th through Tuesday, August 19th. The student would sort mail, run the route in the morning and afternoon, check in UPS and other private carrier packages, and any other job that needs to be done. Pay is $5.85/hour. CLERICAL SUPPORT – The TLU Admissions Office is looking for a student to assist the Applicant Processor. Job requires a detail oriented student with skills in data entry, filing, scanning, answering phones and willing to give tours. A student who is willing to work 10 hours with continued employment throughout the academic year while enrolled at TLU is preferred. Federal Work-Study student preferred but not required. LIBRARY STUDENT WORKER – The TLU Library is looking for a student to work up to 20 hours per week performing a wide variety of tasks throughout the library. Must be able to work well with people, have good communication skills, have the ability to work without constant supervision and have basic computer knowledge and skills. ASSISTANT FILM COORDINATOR – TLU Football is looking for an assistant film coordinator for the Fall 2008 semester to manage film crew for practice and games, assist in video editing, transfer video from miniDV to SVHS tape, film and attend all football games. Knowledge of video equipment - camcorder, VCR, computer - and knowledge of film - proper angles, views, etc. and some knowledge of football are required.
