Food Committee Minutes   (10-30-06)   

We are still in need of some "VEGETARIANS". 

Those   attending were Lana Urbanek, Tyler Belknap, Matt Saenz, Lee Shands, Brandon  Odell, Krystal Parham, Laura Jarzombek, Kimberly Smith,   Anthony Pineda, Chef Ernest, Erica Vega, Shelle Ocarroll, Craig Canselor,  Bradley Sides and Crystal Foerster. .    

The   committee discussed the Food Tasting that was held in September & also the  Sushi Event @ Hein.  

Students tasted some products @ the Tasting that  they would like to see @ Hein/Luckys.  Kudo's were sent from the students  w/the chili & the hot wings to the Sodexho Staff. 

Some of the concerns by our students were needing more help @ the peak times @ Luckys, the salads were also a concern @ Luckys in regards to the freshness of the product.  Portion size & prices @ Luckys were discussed.  Students were also like to see Calzones @ Hein & @  Luckys. 

Some concerns @ Hein were more healthy choice options, more fresh and canned fruits, condiment area between   grill & sandwich line, running out of bacon in the mornings & as to when Sodexho would be serving spinach again.   

The students also expressed interest in cooking with Chef Ernest sometime in the future. No date has been set for our November Meeting.
