Sodexho Campus Services Food Committee

November 30, 2006

The meeting was called to order on November 30, 2006 @ 6:10pm. Jim Wilkes, General Manager, read the minutes from the last meeting. Old business was discussed such as the condiments are still in the same place in the servery and need to be moved over by the salad bar to help w/the congestion @ the grille. The freshness of the salads at Luckys have improved according to some of the students. There are still concerns at Luckys regarding some one being at the cash register and some one to make coffee.

Some new items that were discussed were maybe in the future having a Starbucks Kiosk, a free standing coffee bar. Being out of bacon at breakfast is a concern. The Production Manager said it was the bacon that is being used at the omelet station that is running out, not the bacon on the line. Students were also requesting more vegetables on the main line at Hein. Students also are taking advantage of the new combo meals that are now being offered at Luckys. We had one vegetarian in attendance at this meeting, and Lana asked here for some feedback. This student was pleased somewhat with the offerings at Hein, but suggested possibly doing a veggie sandwich once in awhile. Sodexho Campus Service also had a request for a selection of nuts to be offered as an option for vegetarian. Students also said that they felt the the food selection was good at Hein, even on the week ends.

Lana said that we have the go ahead at Luckys for a renovation to take place in the future. Several suggestions have been made. We need input from the students as to what they would like to see at Luckys. Lana also asked one of the students that take prospective students on tour of the campus, what they like when they are here at TLU for a visit. The student said the they are very impressed when visiting when the selections that are offered here.
