Lucky’s Kennel

      1.   We now have the correct lids for the cups in the snack bar.   The cups that we use

now, although not popular w/some customers, are more bio-degradable and better

             for our environment.  .

2.       The committee members were concerned about the pricing structure on sodas in the snack bar being priced higher here than in local convenience stores.  We are going to look at some of the items over the holidays and may need to make some changes.

  1. The question was brought up as to how the progress on the coffee bar at the Library   Jim told the committee that nothing definite has been decided on the coffee bar.  One of the members had heard that a free standing Starbuck’s Coffee House was coming to Seguin.

  1. Some members were not aware that Lucky’s is running a more extended breakfast menu that they have in the past.  We are going to post menu’s with those items on there.

Hein Dining Hall

1.        We discussed the Thanksgiving Dinner for the students, and everyone agreed it was a very nice meal and they all enjoyed it.

2.        Christmas Dinner will be on December 3, 2007.

3.        Cram Jam was discussed w/the committee as to when and where it was going to be.  Cram Jam will be held for 3 nights during final’s w/a variety of food and games planned.

4.        Committee members asked Sodexho staff when we were going to have Sushi Night again.    Sushi night is not planned for the next semester.  All specialty events are planned for the entire year during the summer and approved before school begins.

5.        Jim asked the students if there were any special recipes from home that they would like us to try in the kitchen.  Students were encouraged to drop their recipe’s off with the Chef and we would be more than happy to try them.

6.        Student’s were still concerned about the steaks on steak night at Hein.  Jim informed the committee, that if anyones steak is not as they would like it, to bring it back and we will gladly make it like they like it.  He also added that he would cook their steak special for them at the grille if they didn’t mind waiting a bit longer.

The next Food Committee meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 29th in the Timmerman Room at 6:00pm
