Frequently Asked Questions
Is there an application deadline? The application deadline for international students is May 1 for the fall semester and October 1 for the spring semester. Students will need to allow plenty of time for mailings, gathering of required documents, acceptance, and application for the student visa and passport before the reporting date for international students.
Is it required that I live on campus? As a residential university, Texas Lutheran encourages all students to live on campus. All students are required to live in university housing, except for those students who are married, over 21 years of age, seniors, or commuting from home. Texas Lutheran University has both traditional residence halls and on-campus apartments.
Will I be living with American students? Yes. International and American students are intentionally placed together to enhance cultural awareness and education. Many students have developed lasting friendships and have visited each other’s families’ homes.
