SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Texas Lutheran women’s volleyball team posted a win and loss Saturday to conclude the Trinity Fall Classic with a 1-2 record.
The Bulldogs fell to Elmhurst (Ill.) in three games (25-20, 25-23, 25-16) and defeated fellow American Southwest Conference team University of Texas at Tyler in four games (25-18, 20-25, 25-20, 25-9).
TLU opened the Trinity Fall Classic on Friday with a three-game loss to Trinity.
In Saturday’s first contest against Elmhurst, Jessica Stetler led the Bulldogs with 11 kills. Blair O’Brien delivered 12 digs.
In the win over Texas-Tyler, Jamie Jahns recorded 17 kills. Amanda Curry added 41 assists, and O’Brien posted 21 digs.
The match with Texas-Tyler was a non-conference contest.
TLU’s Stetler was named to the All-Tournament Team.
TLU returns to ASC play with a 6 p.m. home match Tuesday against Concordia Texas. With a victory Tuesday, the Bulldogs can clinch the No. 2 seed out of the ASC West Division for the upcoming ASC Championship Tournament.
