TLU men's soccer edged 2-1 at UTD

RICHARDSON, Texas – Stephen Ambrose scored the opener and then assisted on the eventual game-winner for the University of Texas at Dallas in its 2-1 home victory Saturday over Texas Lutheran.

UT-Dallas moved to 8-4-3 overall and to 5-3-1 in the ASC. TLU fell to 2-9-2 overall and to 2-5-2 in the ASC.

Ambrose started the scoring with an unassisted goal in the 34th minute. Ambrose and Justin Bailey then assisted on Mazi Rabiee’s goal in the 63rd minute.

TLU responded to the 2-0 deficit with a goal in the 65th minute by Travis Hybiak. Andrew Latiolais provided the assist on a cross.

The Bulldogs finished with a 13-11 lead in shots. Each team had six shots on goal. Jonathan Allegra made four saves for TLU, and Jake Brandon recorded five saves for UT-Dallas.
